In this Episode of Dank’s Strain Reviews: We join our stony friend Lauren as she smokes on “Lemon Skunk” by High Altitude.

About Dank’s Strain Reviews

If this is your first time watching one of our Strain Reviews, we’d like to give a brief introduction, a walkthrough, of some of the terms we use and why we rate the way we do.

The folks at Dank’s Wonder Emporium use a “Star Rating” System to determine the quality of each feature of each product. These features include but are not limited to: the packaging, the product structure (if applicable), the “nose” (the aroma of the product), the flavor, the smoothness or harshness, the effects, and the overall score of the product.

We also like to review the lab test results of the product, the price point, the genetics of the strain (if applicable) and share any infomation we have about the brand.

Test Results

The test results on High Altitude’s “Lemon Skunk” showed 18.5% THC and 0.1% CBD.

Price Point

We carry “Lemon Skunk” from High Altitude in the shop in 1/8th gram bags (3.5g). They sell for $40.85 (roughly $11.67 per gram) This is a higher price point, so we’re expecting quality buds!

Lemon Skunk” is a cross of two different Skunk phenotypes that resulted in a Sativa-Hybrid that is known for it’s “happy-high” effects.

Packaging  ⭐ ⭐⭐

With the price point in mind and seeing what other top shelf brands are doing with their packaging, we’re not really drawn to the basic Mylar bag, though we do appreciate the large viewing window. As Lauren put it, there needs to be “more pop in the package”.

The “Nose” ⭐

“Lemon Skunk” hits all the citrus notes, but surprisingly comes across as lime moreso than lemon, and the skunk seems to have its undertones as well. The aroma is pungent, an indication of healthy, tasty cannabis. Well done, 5/5 stars!

Trim Job ⭐

At first Lauren felt like the buds felt a little loose, but upon closer inspection of the density and fullness of the nug and the beautiful orange hairs, she knew this was a solid trim job. No leafiness here!

Nug Structure ⭐

With that fantasticly dense yet spongey structure, it’s easy to see that this flower was grown and treated with care.

As Lauren puts it, “this is poster quality bud right here”. The bud is sticky, but not wet, and no where near being dry and crumbly. Perfect score!

Living up to its name, “Lemon Skunk” tastes strongly of sweet lemons, like Lemon Head candies– yum! An instant pick for those looking for mouth-watering citrus flavors.

Smoke Harshness

You might feel a slight burn on this strain, but the feeling should subside quickly. Lauren wasn’t experiencing any coughing while smoking this either, which is always a good sign!

The Effects ⭐

Lauren is feeling very positive and uplifted after trying out “Lemon Skunk”. She describes herself as feeling “light and airy” in both body and mind, a pleasant relaxation that is welcome for any ocassion.

Overall Score ⭐

Lauren gave a score of 4.5 stars out of 5, but due to consistent quality and our lack of “half-stars”, we’ll be rounding this score up to a solid 5. This “Lemon Skunk” hit it out of the park, great job, High Altitude!

 Buy, Try, or Puff-Puff Pass?

Even though the price point might be a little steep, the quality is totally there. This is buy for Lauren, we have to agree! Be sure to check out “Lemon Skunk” by High Altitude at Dank’s Wonder Emporium!
