About Dank’s Chronicast

If this is your first time watching a Chronicast, we’d like to give a brief introduction, a walkthrough, of some of the terms we use and why we rate the way we do.

All of our budtenders at Dank’s Wonder Emporium use a “Star Rating” System to determine the quality of each feature of each product. These features include but are not limited to: the packaging, the product structure (if applicable), the “nose” (the aroma of the product), the flavor, the smoothness or harshness, the effects, and the overall score of the product.

We also like to review the lab test results of the product, the price point, the genetics of the strain (if applicable) and share any infomation we have about the brand.

💡If you’re new to cannabis concentrates, or anything else in the cannabis market, here’s a cheat-sheet of terms and what they refer to.

Price Point

Though Dank’s Wonder Emporium doesn’t carry this brand in the shop, if we did the grams would sell of Black Label of $ 11 and the Red Label for $ 6.

Random was impressed by the packaging from the black label company. The big window and the mirror finish was said to have really helped the overall look of the package especially in the black labeled bags.

Matt likes that the packaging is very simple and not seeking attention.

Random gave the bags a 3 star rating, while Matt gave the black labeled bag a 4 and the red bags a 3 star rating, Quinn gave the Red label a 3 and the black label he gave a 2.

The “Nose” ⭐

The tangiland was said to have a musky smell with not a lot of the tangi coming out. Which was a slight disappointment for the reviewers.

The overall star rating was for Quinn 3.5, Matt gave a 3 on the nose for the tangiland.

Appearance & Consistency

The appearance of the tangiland to Quinn was like a mountain, you would go snowboarding on. Random admired how dense and solid it was. It has a beautiful purple color

Quinn rated the tangiland a 6 for appearance and nug structure

Smoothness / Harshness ⭐

The tangiland was described as super-super smooth and the ratings showed for this as all three reviewer gave the tangiland from Black Label a 5 out of 5 stars.

 Buy, Try, or Puff-Puff Pass?

For Quinn given the price point, the Tangiland would be a Try or happy hour Buy. Matt also gave the Tangiland a Try and added that the happy hour price would make it a definite Buy

The Effects

The Tangiland gave a tension that cause a stiffness in Quinn’s shoulder area. Matt also experienced a tightness and a weight at the back of his eyes. Quinn feels however if he were somewhat active he wouldn’t notice the tension he is feeling. The Tangiland was indeed a good start to the show.

Next we try the cannalope kush

Test Results: Cannalope Kush

THCA is 24.8%, CBD 0%, THC 1% giving a total testing of 25.8%

The “Nose” ⭐

Right off the bat, Quinn thought the cannalope Kush smelt like ‘Cat Piss’. Random got a faint scent but no real nose on the cannalope kush. A faint minty, Pine smell was also evident.

As far as star ratings, Random gave the nose  1.5 stars while both Matt and Quinn gave a 2-star rating as they didn’t love it but they didn’t hate it either.

Appearance & Consistency

When it comes to the nug structure of the cannalope kush, Quinn could tell that it was outside.

Seen that the cannalope Kush is a Red package which means that it was greenhouse grown and the black labels were indoors grown marijuana.

Matt experiences a confusing rough as well as a little bit of sweetness with the cannalope Kush and a faint mint. Quinn explained having to search for the flavor but appreciated a  citrus, grapefruit taste as the rest of the flavor was pretty mild and dull.

Quinn: 1 star Matt: 2 stars rating

Smoothness / Harshness ⭐

The overall smoothness of the cannalope Kush was a 4-star rating.

 Buy, Try, or Puff-Puff Pass?

At the $6 price point, Quinn gave the cannalope kush a buy and mention “It would be unstoppable at a $5 price point”. For Matt also it was a buy, and puff-puff-pass for Random as the harvest date of the marijuana is a contributing factor to his decision.

The Effects

The effects of the cannalope kush gave off an alertness and released some of the tension the tangiland sent on.

The crew went on to check out the Bruce Banner strain.

Test Results: Bruce Banner

THCA is 29.5%, CBD 0%, THC 2% giving a total testing of 29.69%

Appearance & Consistency

The nug structure of the cannalope kush, Random mentioned was “beautiful as fuck” crispy, bend and damn beautiful.

The “Nose” ⭐

The Bruce Banner did not have a lot of nose or a lot of earth or pine in Quinn’s view; he also mentioned that the Bruce Banner has the “faintest smell of weed” that he has smelt. Matt and Random did notice a little bit of sweet.

Matt gave the nose on the bruce banner a 2-star rating while Random stepped it up to  2.5-star rating, Quinn gave it a 1-star rating.

Matt gives the flavor of a 3-star rating, Quinn gave a 2-star rating as he wanted to see a little bit more for his money on the bruce banner strain of marijuana.

Smoothness / Harshness ⭐

The smoothness got a 5 star from matt and a 3 star from Quinn as it wasn’t too bad for Quinn, but it wasn’t terrific either.

 Buy, Try, or Puff-Puff Pass?

At the $11 price point, all the reviewers gave the bruce banner a puff-puff-pass.

And of course, we mentioned that we had the glacier glue strain from Black label company as well.

Test Results: Glacier glue

THCA is 26.2%, CBD 0%, THC 1% giving a total testing of 27.2%

Appearance & Consistency

Quinn mentioned the dryness of the glacier glue. It came off easily and this impressed him.

The “Nose” ⭐

Right off Quinn suggested that the glacier glue strain spells like paint, the only time everyone else agreed it spelt like ‘cat piss’. But there was some ‘chemically’ taste and smell going on for the glacier glue strain.

As far as flavor goes Quinn suggested that taste like paint, Matt said it burnt his throat. The glacier glue flavor got an overall star rating of 0 stars

Smoothness / Harshness ⭐

The smoothness of the glacier glue got a not surprising 1 star from the reviewers. Seen the chemical effect it gave off this was no surprise.

 Buy, Try, or Puff-Puff Pass?

After the review of the glacier glue, it did not take a lot of imagination to figure out that it would be a puff-puff-pass from all the reviewers.
